“Prompted by Membership of srsCULTUREforSchools, we introduced a ‘Road Safety Week’, in the first week of the new school year. It went brilliantly! Informal feedback from children was that they had ‘fun’; teachers were very pleased with it and enjoyed teaching the units; parents are delighted about ‘the good idea’. Year 1 children were able to tell me that “a car driver couldn’t see a ‘little person’ standing behind the car.”

Ian has worked in Road Safety for 25 years holding several senior posts. Between 2000 and 2011 Ian served as Road Safety Manager at Kent County Council, during this period the number of people killed or seriously injured fell by 47% in the county.
